Press Release -
Cambridge Antique Fair, August
1-2, 2009
Cambridge, MN
CAMBRIDGE, MINN.
The Cambridge Antique
Fair is celebrating its 18th annual show this year at the Isanti County
Fairgrounds on Saturday and Sunday, August 1 and 2, 2009. This show first
began in Princeton in 1992 by show promoters Shawn & Cheryl Hewitt. The
first year show had just 25 dealers, but time has proved that the area is
well suited for a major antique event. This year there are expected to be
about 800 antique dealers, displaying in over 300 booths, located in eight
buildings, two open-air pavilions, and the spacious outside areas.
This year North-Trek is excited to announce that a
vintage car show will be included at no additional cost. See the press
release at www.cambridgeantiquefair.com/carshow.htm for more details.
The show has a nice
variety of antique collectibles to suit everyone’s interests. The show is
strong in collectibles such as postcards, paper goods, souvenir glass,
advertising items, toys, glassware, pottery, primitives, photographica and
much more. There are also several antique furniture and home décor dealers
who offer a wide range of both large and small items. In addition, there
will be a special exhibit of local collectibles and several drawings
throughout both days for special prizes. The show is perfect for a day trip
from the main population centers of the region.
The food available is
among the best to be found. There are several food vendors with a wide
variety of tasty selections such as beef brisket, ribs, turkey, chicken,
burgers, hotdogs, corn dogs, Mexican items, cheese curds, fries,
mini-donuts, kettle corn, ice cream, slushies, cotton candy, and much more!
Come enjoy the “fair” food and antique atmosphere.
Regular show admission is
$6.00. Children 16 and under are free with parents. Discount coupons
are available at regional shops and shows. Early bird admission is
available on Friday July 31 for $20.00 and is good for entrance into the
show for the entire weekend. Parking is ample and is always free.
