    On March 29, 1859 the auditor authorized American Bank Note Company to engrave a plate for the Minnesota Valley Bank. American Bank Note Company engraved a 1-2-3-5 plate, and printed 5,000 sheets amounting to $55,000. The Minnesota Valley Bank never opened for business.
