CAMBRIDGE ANTIQUE FAIR TO INCLUDE CAR SHOW

The Cambridge Antique Fair is street legal in more ways than one!

In conjunction with its 18th annual event, the Cambridge Antique Fair is coming of age by featuring a vintage car show in addition to its hundreds of antique dealer booths. The show is renamed the Cambridge Antique Fair & Car Show to recognize the change.

The addition of the car exhibition is intended to broaden public interest in the event. “Everyone appreciates a vintage automobile that has been cared for like a baby. The auto enthusiasts that exhibit at our show take immense pride in their vehicles, and we are delighted to give them an outlet to share and reward their passion,” said Shawn Hewitt of North-Trek Promotions.

Space will be provided for at least fifty 1972 and earlier vehicles, with different cars on exhibit on both Saturday and Sunday. Attendees of the antique show will have a chance to review the autos on exhibit and vote for their favorites on each day. The winning entry each day will receive the Cambridge Antique Fair & Car Show People’s Choice Trophy and a cash award of $100. But winning isn’t the only thing, as the interaction between thousands of show attendees and auto exhibitors will rekindle old friendships and build new ones. Collectors of antique cars will also be able to buy, sell and trade rare parts in the outdoor area of the antique show.

The admission price to the show is good for both days, allowing attendees to see two car shows for the price of one. Kids age 16 and under are free with parents, making this a family friendly event. It makes a great day trip from the urban population centers of the region.

The Cambridge Antique Fair is known as one of the most popular Minnesota antique shows and continues to attract a large crowd of devoted followers. It is always held on the first weekend of August at the Isanti County Fairgrounds in Cambridge, Minnesota. This year’s dates are August 1-2, 2009.
